Lewis River's Liberty Belle, SH CH Braemar the Last Straw, CD, RN, JH, WC LIBBY X BARLEY Grouse Creeks Tesst of Faith, RE CH. Braemar the Last Straw, CD, RN, JH, WC TESS X BARLEY We are excited about this litter between “Libby” and “Barley”.   Barley is from the Braemar line of show bred working dogs.  We did not originally plan to use Barley for both the Libby and Tess litters, but once we discovered him no other stud dog would do.  He is everything we are trying to achieve in our puppies.  He is a beautiful, well balanced dog with the classic Labrador temperament.  He is a star in the show ring while still bringing the athletic ability, hunting drive, and trainability that is the hallmark of the Labrador.  He has titles in conformation, hunting, and obedience.  His entire pedigree is impressive.  We are thankful for Elaine Dal Bon at Fiesta Labradors for letting us use Barley!  Libby is an intelligent, birdie girl.  She is highly trainable and achieved her Senior Hunt title at 15 months.  Her pedigree is filled with Master Hunters on top and bottom.  Libby has natural drive and talent in the field.  She is enjoyable in the house and has her favorite spot on the couch.  Libby's dynamite drive and love of life temperament should be well complemented by Barley’s powerful good looks and trainability.  Each pup from this litter will make nice "prospects" for hunting dogs, loving family companions, or competition dogs if you enjoy playing in the any of the retriever games!   If you are looking for a hunting partner this is an opportunity to find a lab with a titled field background that has good looks!  Both Libby and Barley come from long lines of healthy, orthopedically sound dogs.  They both have hip, elbow, and eye health clearances.  We stand behind the litter with a 26-month health guarantee and life long guidance and support. This will be our first litter for Tess and we can’t wait to see what she produces.  We plan on keeping a pup in the litter.  We originally chose Barley as a great match for Tess, but loved him so much that we used him for both breedings.  Barley is from the famous Braemar line.  He offers a great blend of good looks and function.  He is a beautiful, well balanced dog with an attentive, enthusiastic temperament.  He has excelled in the show ring as well as proving himself in the field.  His substance and temperament will complement Tess nicely.  Tess is a sweet, affectionate dog who is a pleasure to live with and train.  She is the kind of dog who lives to please whether she is retrieving birds or acting as a foot warmer in the house.  She achieved her rally obedience novice, advanced, and excellent titles while constantly asking what more she could do.  Her pedigree has titled hunting dogs throughout.  We expect this litter to produce puppies with exceptional trainability and a beautiful, rich yellow coat.  These puppies will make exceptional family companions and talented hunting partners.  They are great rally, agility or obedience prospects too.  Both Tess and Barley come from long lines of healthy, orthopedically sound dogs.  Both dogs have their hip, elbow, and eye clearances.  Tess and Barley are both EIC clear.  All Prospect Kennel puppies come with a 26-month health guarantee and life long guidance and support. Our Labradors are bred for outstanding temperament, high trainability, natural field talent, orthopedic soundness and good looks!  All of our labs are certified by the Orthopedic Foundation of America (OFA) for their hips/elbows and through CERF evaluations have their eyes cleared.   We ensure through genetic testing that our pups will not be affected by EIC.  Additionally we showcase each of our dogs talents through showing them in working events such as hunt tests or rally obedience. Our puppies are raised as a part of our family.  Well socialized with other dogs, cats, children and sounds.  They are introduced to birds around 6 weeks of age and water depending on the time of the year.  We start crate training the last week they are with us.  Our pups leave for their new homes around 8 weeks of age.   Each puppy will have their dewclaws removed, be microchipped, and have their first vaccination, dewormer and veterinary exam.   Our puppy package comes with AKC paperwork, educational/training material, a toy from the litter, and a small bag of dog food (Eukanuba).  We stand by our puppies with an excellent health guarantee.  We enjoy providing life long support and guidance for all our puppies.  Below we have two litters which will be ready for homes in June, 2011.  Both litters are a nice balance between performance and structure.  Our females come from strong field backgrounds and we select studs from working conformation/show lines.  The goal is to produce Labradors the way they were meant to be!   “An ideal sporting and family dog, the Labrador Retriever thrives as part of an active family or as a trusted hunting companion.” (www.akc.org/breeds/labrador_retriever/) We expect the pups from both litters to mature size wise within the breed standard, which is 55-70lbs for females and 65-80lbs for males. Litter Born May 2, 2011, Three Males, Three Females, All Yellow.  Ready for Homes June 25, 2011.  All pups are spoken for.
